Louise Parkin

Lecturer

Louise joined Leeds Beckett University in September 2023. She graduated from Cardiff University in 2010 and has worked across many different health care settings and environments both in the NHS and privately since graduation.

Louise's clinical interests lie in stroke rehabilitation and has over seven years experience in stroke and neurological rehabilitation. She has also worked for several years in Project Management for major health service transformation programmes in the NHS.

Louise has recently co-authored a chapter on a stroke case study scenario for a book aimed at student physiotherapists which is due for publication in 2023/2024.

Research Interests

Louise's research interests include stroke rehabilitation, particularly around intensity of rehabilitation post stroke and achieving this in the community environment.
