Jenny Doak

Lecturer

Jenny joined Leeds Beckett University in 2021 and is currently a lecturer in the school of nursing. She currently teaches across the mental health nursing, adult nursing and trainee nursing associate courses with a particular focus on the apprenticeship programmes.

Jenny brings wealth of expertise from working within the NHS across multiple trusts. Her clinical experience started in theatres where she worked as a nursing assistant, then once qualified, an anaesthetic nurse and a scrub nurse. She then worked across multiple clinical areas including surgical and medical wards and oncology working in managerial roles.

Research Interests

Jenny has particular research interests around oncology and dementia is currently taking part in qualitative research surrounding this topic. She is also currently working towards a review concerned with the relationship between leadership and gender within healthcare.
