Positive student feedback puts Leeds Beckett University in top 50 of National Student Survey
LBU ranks 43rd out of 122 traditional English HE institutions, and gained an overall positivity score of 81%, compared with the English national average of 80%.
The National Student Survey gives final year students the chance to look back on their higher education experience and share their views.
Leeds Beckett was also highly rated by their students on detailed questions about their courses, scoring especially strongly on ‘assessment and feedback’ with 81% against an English average of 78% and ‘learning and specialist resources’ with 86% against an English average of 85%.
Leeds Beckett University Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Slee said: "This very positive endorsement from our students is wonderful to receive. I’m especially pleased to see the strong results around assessment and feedback, as we know how vital this is for our students to progress.
“We will be exploring their views in detail, and using their valuable feedback to continue to improve our teaching and learning.”
Chair of Leeds Beckett University board David Lowen said: “I’m delighted to see yet another example of the difference that a Leeds Beckett education makes. I’d like to thank all our students who took the time to share their views, and the many colleagues whose work each day is creating such strong results.”
This success follows the news earlier in the year that Leeds Beckett climbed 40 places in the 2024 Complete University Guide, showing the biggest increase of any institution in the national table.
