Your safety is our top priority whilst you are living in our halls.
Information on when/how to move into halls will be sent to you from the accommodation office once you've accepted your contract.
Please report any maintenance issues to your halls of residence reception as soon as possible by using the online maintenance system. You will be provided with the details during move-in, but you can speak to reception if you are having any problems.
Please put as much detail as possible in your maintenance request as this helps the team respond to your problem more effectively. Repair and maintenance requests are graded according to their priority and therefore the more information you give on the form, the more accurately we can prioritise your request.
The Res Life Team are able to solve many areas of concern that you may have about your accommodation or university life. They will provide advice, mediate, deal with emergencies or even just take the time for a chat. They have all been involved in university life in some shape or form and understand the wide variety of issues faced by students.

Whether you’re staying in university managed accommodation, or you’ve sourced your own private accommodation, there’s lots of support available.
If you require advice or support in relation to your private accommodation, including house hunting, contract reviews, disputes, disrepair etc, our Students’ Union Advice Service can help.
We asked some of our students about their experiences of living in halls and for any tips or recommendations they could give.
