voice and spoken word

Led by Dr Oliver Bray, the Voice & Spoken Word research cluster is concerned with the relationships between voice, body, physiology, and culture.

Researchers within this research cluster are interested in the generation, curation, and recital of words, including the production of experimental poetry, and spoken word texts.

Amongst other activities, the Voice and Spoken Word research cluster aims to investigate the potential application of methods including voice training, voice manipulation, and vocal performance in arts practice and beyond.
