Afghanistan Entry Requirements

You can find information below containing the minimum qualifications you will require. This varies depending on whether you want to study an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Entry requirements do also vary for each course, but the information here will give you a general guide.

As well as your academic qualifications we will also consider your personal statement and references. If you are studying A Levels or the International Baccalaureate, you can find these entry requirements on the course pages in our Online Prospectus.

Afghanistan Entry Requirements

Qualification:

  • Diploma / Technical Diploma / Grade 14 with 60% overall. Grade 12 Graduation certificate/Vocational Baccalauria

English language requirements: UKVI IELTS 4.5 with no skill below 4.5

 

Qualification:

  • Recognised International Foundation course from a UK institution or an Institution in Afghanistan following a validated UK syllabus, with overall 60%, may vary based on the course entry
  • Diploma / Technical Diploma / Grade 14 with 70% overall, may need to be in a relevant subject for some courses
English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science (Engineering) degree from Kabul University with overall 75% for UK 2:2, 80% for UK 2:1 OR
  • Bachelor’s degree/ License with overall 75% plus 2 years relevant post-degree work experience for a UK 2:2 OR
  • Master's degree with 70% or above

English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
