Professor Saheed Ajayi is a highly regarded authority in the realm of digital construction and project management. With a rich background encompassing both industry and academia, Professor Ajayi has held diverse roles within the construction sector and academic institutions. He currently holds the position of Professor of Digital Construction and Project Management at Leeds Beckett University, a testament to his exceptional expertise and invaluable contributions to the field.
As the director of the Construction Informatics and Digital Enterprise Research Laboratory (CIDEL), Professor Ajayi has been at the forefront of multi-disciplinary research, seamlessly merging the realms of the built environment, information technology, and entrepreneurship. His research interests encompass a wide range of critical areas, including Building Information Modelling (BIM), sustainable construction practices, and construction informatics (application of digital technologies such as big data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT) and machine learning in construction).
