Travel and Transport
Both City and Headingley campuses are within easy walking distance of most halls of residence and the main student areas.
The 1B bus operated by First Bus runs half-hourly service from Monday - Friday daytime during University term, starting on 24th September, partially replacing service 29. A single ticket costs £1.20 one-way.
We have excellent public transport, cycling and walking facilities. Our city campus buildings are all within easy walking distance of Leeds City Rail station. Headingley Stadium is just a 10 minute walk from Burley Park train station, one stop from Leeds.

For some journeys travelling by car is the only option but you can still reduce your costs and fuel consumption. Find out more about car sharing, greener driving, car clubs and car parking on campus.
Limited car parking is available at both City and Headingley campuses. Unless you are subject to exemption there is a charge for parking at both campuses.
We have great facilities on our campuses for cyclists including our campus Bike Hub and Bike Fix workshop where you can maintain your bike and receive advice for free, cycle skills and maintenance training, secure cycle parking, showers and lockers.
Both our campuses and halls of residences are well connected by public transport.
The main City Campus buildings are between 2 and 14 mins walk from Leeds train station. Headingley campus is a 15 minute walk from Headingley train station and Headingley Carnegie Pavilion and Stand are a 12 and 8 minute walk from Headingley and Burley Park stations.
Our students can hire a bike for £35 for the first three months and £50 for an academic year (£35 for the first quarter, £10 for the second quarter, £5 for third quarter, free for final quarter) plus £50 returnable deposit.
