Peter Cox
Senior Lecturer
Since 2003 Peter has been a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University specialising in hospitality business operations covering an array of topics including quality and food and beverage management. He had a 23 year career in hospitality management originally in the hotel sector progressing to assistant hotel manager. He spent 10 years with the Contract Catering giant Sodexo progressing to Group Catering Manager for the HSBC contract. Peter came to Leeds Beckett University in 1997 originally as the Senior Catering Services Manager and was sponsored by the University to complete an honours degree. He then completed his MSc in Events Management and then a PG Cert HE.
Current Teaching
Peter has been engaged in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate modules related to Hospitality, Retail and Events Operations Management and Quality Management.
Research Interests
Peter is currently in the fourth year of his Professional Doctorate in Education where his field of research is around the early career experiences of hospitality management students. His research interests also include leadership, management, service operations and employability.
