About Lauren O'Mahoney
Lauren is a PhD student and graduate teaching assistant in Sport and Exercise Nutrition. Her research investigates the therapeutic role of longitudinal dietary supplementation in individuals with type one diabetes.
Lauren studied Sport and Exercise Science (Exercise and Health) at Edge Hill University where she graduated with first class honours in 2015. She then went on to complete a Masters by research (MRes), with a keen interest and focus on nutrition. Lauren started her role at Leeds Beckett University in September 2016.

Lauren’s current research investigates the effects of longitudinal dietary supplementation in type one diabetes. The novel insight and clinical utility of this research will seek to inform pragmatic patient focused guidelines.
