Keith Andrews
Senior Lecturer -
Keith is Deputy Head of the Leeds School of Architecture, coordinator of postgraduate architectural technology, and the course leader of the MA Architecture. He also directs the MArch (Master of Architecture) studio Abstract Machine. He is a partner of architectural practice HOT Architecture. He previously was a partner at Barham Andrews and worked for a range of architectural firms in both London and Manchester.
One of HOT Architecture’s projects, Langhus in Beverley, was featured as an exemplar project on BBC Two’s The House That £100 Built in 2014.
Current Teaching
Keith’s teaching and theoretical focus lies in the premise that architecture is the reification of information. To design is to conceive, manipulate and perform within ecology of data structures.
Research Interests
Keith’s practice, Barham Andrews was featured in the publication New Architects, a guide to the best young architectural practices in 1998. Barham Andrews’s Trafford Park Ecology Centre was also featured in Architecture Today in 2000.
