Doreen was an editor of Scroope 13, the architectural journal of the University of Cambridge. Her articles and design research have appeared in Time+Architecture magazine in China, Dialogue magazine in Taiwan, in the research journal of the Asia Centre at the London School of Economics, in the Architectural Association’s Fulcrum, and in Revistarquis, the architectural journal of the University of Costa Rica.
Doreen is the course leader of the BA (Hons) Architectural Studies, the coordinator of undergraduate architectural history and theory and a PhD supervisor at the Leeds School of Arts.
Doreen is a theorist in architecture and visual culture. In addition to her role at our University she also teaches at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London and the University College London (UCL) Bartlett School of Architecture. She has worked as an architect in London, Shanghai and Taipei. Since 2006, she has taught design and theory courses at different levels and initiated research projects across universities in the UK, Germany, Costa Rica, China and Taiwan.
