Senior Lecturer

Claire is a Lecturer in Childhood and Education at the Carnegie School of Education.

After completing her Geography BSc at the University of Hull, Claire worked as a secondary school teacher in Hull. During her 26 years of secondary teaching she has worked in a number of secondary school settings across Hull. She has 14 years of senior leadership experience. Before leaving secondary teaching Claire was head of an Alternative Provision Academy.

Claire is interested in the inclusion of sexual and gender minority people in education and how this intersects with wellbeing and academic outcomes.
