Leeds Beckett Dance Club shine at Nottingham Trent Dance-Off

The University’s Dance team fought off strong competition to claim top 5 finishes across a number of categories at the event.

The team claimed first place in the advanced hip hop and intermediate Lyrical categories. The hip hop squad were promoted from the intermediate category after the judges believed they were too good to compete at that level – a shrewd move by the judges!

As well as two first place finishes, the team finished second in the advanced ballet and advanced lyrical categories and third in the advanced jazz and contemporary fields.

Team member Taylor Churchman finished fifth in the solo category, with Kenny Anderson claiming the top spot as best male.
