Open up conversations this University Mental Health Day
With that in mind, what can you do? How about asking someone you know how they are? Did they say they’re fine? Sometimes we can say we’re fine when we’re not. To really find out, you could ask twice.
Want to find out more about mental health?
We’ve all got mental health, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not so good. To support your mental health whether you’re surviving or thriving you can find information, support and signposting on the Wellbeing pages.
University Mental Health Day
University Mental Health Day is a national campaign led by the UK’s student mental health charity, Student Minds. The campaign focuses on promoting positive mental health amongst everyone who is part of the university community and encourages people to talk about all aspects of mental health – from maintaining good levels of mental health through to living with mental health difficulties.
This year, Leeds Beckett University plans on marking University Mental Health Day in a big way. Below are some of the charities and organisations that will be joining us to encourage those important conversations about mental health:
• Samaritans
• Mindwell
• It’s Our Day
• Kooth Student
• NHS
• GamCare
• Forward Leeds
• Linking Leeds
• Libraries and Learning Innovation
• Residence Life Team
• Sports and Active Lifestyles
• Betty Beckett (Leeds Beckett Therapy Dog)
• KL Pony Therapy
