Preloved Kilo Vintage Clothing comes to Well Met
18 February 2019 - Well Met
Well Met, the conferencing office of Leeds Beckett University, will host Preloved Kilo, a vintage clothing fair, at the Rose Bowl City Campus on Saturday 2nd March 2019.
Preloved Kilo is an independent family run vintage kilo business that handpicks clothing from across the globe and ships it back to the Rotherham warehouse, where they are washed, sorted and packed ready for the events. It’s a great opportunity to shop for branded vintage clothing and at £15 per kilo, it’s a fraction of the original cost.
Preloved Kilo has been running for over 18-months across the UK and the event is expected to attract over 1,000 visitors to the Rose Bowl Campus throughout the day. Discerning shoppers can ‘find joy’ by the kilo, in high-quality clothing that others have discarded.
Preloved Kilo Marketing Manager, Cole Procter, said: “We hand pick every single one of the items that come to our events so we can assure only the best quality and brands. We have a strong moral compass as a company using reduce emission fuel in our vehicles and biodegradable bags for our customers. Any of the clothing that doesn’t make it to one of our kilo events is donated to local homeless charities around the UK and the Penny Appeal.”
There are two preloved kilo events a week at towns and cities up and down the UK, details of forthcoming events can be found on the website: prelovedkilo.com.
Clare Vidler, Conference Manager, Well Met, said: “We are really pleased to be hosting the Preloved Kilo event and support its spirit of sustainable recycling of preloved vintage clothing. Rose Bowl campus City Campus is such a versatile space and will lend itself well to a busy, vibrant marketplace for this event.”
