Sarah McManus - One Love Manchester

Sarah graduated in 2015 with a First Class degree in Events Management. After graduating, Sarah quickly gained her first role as Operations Assistant at Emirates Old Trafford, where her first project involved arranging a Foo Fighters concert for a crowd of 55,000 fans. During her time at Emirates Old Trafford, Sarah has had the opportunity to plan, organise and implement a number of events and has recently been an integral part of the commissioning of their newest facility; The Hilton Garden Inn, Emirates Old Trafford, where her role as Procurement Manager saw her dealing with multi-million pound budgets.

Lancashire County Cricket Club and Emirates Old Trafford hosted the special One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday 4 June, to honour and raise vital funds for the victims and families who were tragically affected by the Manchester attack after the Ariana Grande show. Sarah was heavily involved with planning the event, and was able to use her alumni networks from the UKCEM in order to facilitate some of the transport issues.  

The event was a great success and we are extremely proud of Sarah and very grateful that she is able to share her experience with the events professionals of the future.
