Academic staff in the School of Events, Tourism and Hospitality Management will be starting the new academic year in the knowledge that their students appreciate their efforts.

The School’s feedback from students in the form of the National Student Survey (NSS) for 2017/18 were they best they have ever been. Taking ‘overall student satisfaction’ (but any other question bank could be used), the School had an overall score of 94.18 (Events Management - 94%; ITOUR -100%; Hospitality Leadership and Management - 100%; Sports Events Management - 72%).

Dean of School, Professor Rhodri Thomas, noted:

We are all delighted with almost all aspects of these results because staff have worked so diligently to provide a stimulating education that will stand our graduates in good stead as they enter their careers. I consider NSS results to be the most rewarding set of indicators because they are given by our most important and critical constituency, namely our students. In my view, providing high quality education is a prerequisite to being a world-class school.

Academic staff are now preparing for the return of their students and have interesting learning activities planned for the year ahead.
