"We position ourselves among the global leaders in the field"

The agenda over the two days included research evaluation, the challenges of global university rankings, international academic collaboration and industry engagement. Professor Rhodri Thomas, Dean of School, was invited to contribute as a panel member to a debate on strategic issues facing independent schools over the next decade. Commenting on the event, Dean Thomas noted: ‘It was important for our School to be represented at this event as we position ourselves among the global leaders in the field. Much of what we do stands up to close scrutiny and is seen as progressive by many of our international colleagues. However, I came away brimming with proposals for how we might improve our performance so that we can continue to rub shoulders with the world’s top schools.’
