Campus Opening Times

You can find access times for campus buildings below. If you have any questions about accessing campus, contact security@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.

Please note: 

Winter opening hours:
From Monday 13 November 2023 to Friday 24 February 2024, buildings listed below as open until 17:00 will switch to card or keypad access from 16:00.

Opening Times:

  • 07:00 to 08:30: Card or keypad access
  • 08:30 to 16:00: Open access
  • 16:00 to 21:00: Card or keypad access

New Year opening hours arrangement:

  • Wednesday 3 January at 07:00 to Friday 12 January 2024: Card or keypad access from 07:00 to 21:00
  • Monday 15 January to Friday 24 February 2024: Open access until 16:00
  • Monday 26 February to Sunday 24 May 2024 May: Open access until 17:00
  • Monday 27 May 2024: Summer opening hours will start, details to be confirmed

James Graham

  • 07:00 to 21:00 (open for teaching)

Campus Central 

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 18:00 (open access)

Carnegie Hall / Cavendish / Fairfax / Leighton / Priestley / Macaulay

These buildings are open or on keypad access between the following hours:

  • 07:00 to 08:30 (keypad access)
  • 08:30 to 17:00 (open access)
  • 17:00 to 21:00 (keypad access)

Carnegie School of Sport / CTEB 

These buildings are open or on campus card access between the following hours:

  • 07:00 to 08:30 (campus card access)
  • 08:30 to 17:00 (open access)
  • 17:00 to 21:00 (campus card access) 

Bronte

Bronte is open or on keypad access between the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 19:00 (keypad access for staff)

The Grange

Access is via the rear of the building, the front door is currently closed

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 21:00 (campus card access)

Caedmon

Closed for refurbishment.

The Cottage

  • Opens at 05:45 and is closed on request (keypad access for staff)

Churchwood / North Lodge

  • Opens at 08:00 and closes at 21:00 or on request (keypad access for staff)

South Lodge

  • Opens at 07:00 and closes at 21:00 or on request (keypad access for staff)

Queenswood

  • Limited staff access 
  • Residential access (24/7 card access)

Landscape Resourcing

  • Opened in accordance with the timetable or on request.

Broadcasting Place A and B / Calverley / Leslie Silver / Northern Terrace / Portland / Rose Bowl

These buildings are open or on campus card access between the following hours:

  • 07:00 to 08:30 (campus card access)

  • 08:30 to 17:00 (open access)

  • 17:00 to 21:00 (campus card access)

Leeds School of Arts

This building is open or on campus card access between the following hours:

  • 07:00 to 08:30 (campus card access)
  • 08:30 to 17:00 (open access)
  • 17:00 to 21:00 (campus card access)
  • At 17:00 the Calverley main entrance closes and becomes a fire exit only. You can continue to access the building via the Portland Way entrance between 17:00 to 22:00.
Sheila Silver Library
  • 24/7 (turnstile access, campus card required) and can be accessed via the Woodhouse Lane entrance to the Leslie Silver Building.

Old Broadcasting House

  • 07:00 – 21:00 (campus card access for staff) 

Queens Square 7, 9 and 15 - University Business Centre

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 21:00 (campus card access for staff)

Queens Square 10 - Leeds Law Clinic

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 21:00 (campus card access for staff)

Queen Square House

  • Closed

Woodhouse Building

  • Monday to Friday: 06:30 – 21:30 (campus card and keypad access)

City Campus

The faith space in Woodhouse 103A is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 20:00.

In addition an out-of-hours faith space is available within the Sheila Silver Library in  Leslie Silver Building 104.

To access both spaces you will need to use your campus card.

Headingley Campus

The faith space in the Grange is open Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 19:00.

In addition an out-of-hours faith space is available within the Headingley Campus Library in  James Graham 41A.

To access both spaces you will need to use your campus card.

Headingley Campus Gym (Carnegie Sports Centre)

  • Monday to Friday: 07:15 to 22:00
  • Saturday and Sunday 08:15 to 18:00
  • Bank holidays: 10:00 to 16:00

City Campus Gym (2nd Floor, Portland Building)

  • Monday to Friday: 07:00 to 19:00
  • Bank holidays: closed

If you need support but you're not sure where to go, your Student Advice team are here to help. The team are an essential part of your Student Support Network and are dedicated to ensuring you are able to access the advice and support you need, when you need it most. You will find Student Advice in our Student Services Centres on both campuses:

  • City Campus: Leslie Silver Building (Ground Floor)
  • Headingley Campus: Priestley Hall (Ground Floor)

The Library offers 24/7 advice for your Library and IT queries, helps you develop your academic skills and provides access to thousands of resources.

We support students with a wide range of long-term conditions, specific learning difficulties and disabilities.

References, certificates and Graduation

For reference agencies and workplaces seeking previous student confirmation/references, please provide us with the name of the graduate, course studied and the year(s) studied with us. Without this full information, this could lead to potential delays in confirmations/references being processed.

Replacement certificates and transcripts

If you are a graduate of our university and require a copy of your certificate(s) or transcript(s), please apply through our Alumni website.
