Volunteering is a great way to build your skills, make new friends and give back to your community.

There’s lots of ways you can volunteer while you’re studying with us. In this page you’ll find information about the opportunities available and how to get involved.

Local volunteering

Leeds Beckett Students’ Union (LBSU) is partnered with over 200 local charities and organisations to provide you with volunteering opportunities during your time at Leeds Beckett.

So, whether you are interested in volunteering on some of the biggest events in Leeds or you would like to donate some time each week to a charity, there will be an opportunity for you.

The LBSU Volunteering platform also allows you to record your volunteering hours and is a great way to keep track of the skills and experience you have gained.

Through the Students’ Union you can also gain a Volunteering Certificate that provides evidence of the time that you have donated to various causes throughout each academic year.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, expand your skill set, help those in need and help you stand out from the crowd when applying for careers after graduation.

To find out what opportunities are available and create your Volunteering Profile visit LBSU Volunteering.
