Beverly Brozsely
Lecturer
Dr Beverly Brozsely is a sociologist focused on social policy. After a career in global marketing she gained a PhD stipend focusing on youth transitions. She uses her interdisciplinary applied background in her research and lecturing.
Beverly's focus is on youth transitions. She is interested in young people who engage with education but do not go onto university. She focuses on their experiences with academic and vocational education considering school, college and apprenticeship experiences. She also considers the employment opportunities available to them in an increasingly polarised occupational structure and how they experience this when attempting to transition into work.
Beverly is also interested in how they make sense of this process and how it impacts on their self identity.

She had developed this further into comparative research with students in Germany who have the opportunity of level 3 apprenticeships.
