Water Polo

About the club

Leeds Beckett Water Polo has both male and female teams who compete across two leagues - BUCS (British University and Colleges Sport) and Upolo. We offer mixed training sessions, and train four times per week, we don't always play every week but in other weeks we will have multiple fixtures, playing in Northern leagues against teams such as Newcastle.

Plus Icon Why should I join water polo?

Our club offers a relaxed environment, although our goal is to win games.

Joining Water polo, like any sports team, is a great way to meet new people and get active while you socialise.

Water polo is a great sport - and don't worry if you haven't played before - the majority of our current members had never played before coming to Leeds Beckett but now it is their favourite sport!

Plus Icon How can I get involved?

You can get involved with the club by following our Facebook - we will be posting all of our training information on there.

If you have any questions feel free to post in there of private message a member of the committee.

Plus Icon What equipment will I need?

You will need to bring your own swimming kit – but don't worry a costume and towel are all you really need to train with us!

If you have goggles and a cap bring them - but they aren’t necessary - and if you do join the team you will have the opportunity to purchase official university kit.
