Works set to start on new-look Rose Bowl and Tiki cafés

The Rose Bowl Food Court and Tiki Café will be undergoing a £250k refurbishment over Christmas to transform the venues into more vibrant and attractive social spaces for students and colleagues.

The works will include new lighting, furniture and flooring, as well as new-look counters and serveries. The makeovers will also see the introduction of exciting new menus and a change of name for the Rose Bowl Food Court.

Victoria Johnson, Head of Campus Operations, said: “We are very excited to announce the revamp of the Rose Bowl Food Court and Tiki Café.

“Both spaces are really popular areas on campus and are used regularly by our university community to meet, relax and work. These works will significantly enhance these spaces, providing a greater variety of seating options and an improved environment for all our customers.

“The relaunch of the Rose Bowl Food Court as the 'Beckett Kitchen' is something we’re particularly excited about. Alongside a new look we will also be serving new food concepts and a wider range of choices for our customers.”

The works will begin on 14 December and complete on 7 January 2019. During this time, the Tiki Café will be closed, however, additional seating will be available near the Chicken Shack and barista-style coffee will be served from the Food Court. There will also be a limited service offered in the Rose Bowl Food Court.

The opening hours for both spaces during the works can be found here. If you have any questions about the work, please contact campusdevelopments@leedsbeckett.ac.uk.
