carnegieXchange alumni talk- Kevin Sinfield MBE

Kevin Sinfield MBE, Leeds Rhinos’ director of rugby is one of the most successful captains in rugby league history.

Kevin led Rhinos to a record breaking seven Super League titles during a 13 season reign as captain and in his 19 seasons at Leeds he became rugby league’s third highest points scorer. He was twice man of the match in a Grand Final and lifted the Challenge Cup on two occasions.

In 2014, Kevin’s successes to the game were recognised when he was awarded an MBE.

While playing full time with Leeds Rhinos Kevin completed his undergraduate and masters at Leeds Beckett University.

Carnegie School of Sport is excited to welcome alumnus, Kevin Sinfield MBE, to talk about his successful career as a player, coach, working with England Rugby League and the challenges he faced in these roles. Kevin will also give an insight on how he transitioned from player to coach to director.

There will be the opportunity to ask Kevin questions, as part of the Q&A facilitated by Professor Ben Jones.
