LSA Book Launch & Debate: Architectural Competitions

As part of the Leeds Society of Architecture’s ‘Architecture in the City’ exhibition which is taking place in Victoria Gate from April 13th to May 11th, we are hosting a book launch and debate for the book 'The Competition Grid: Experimenting With & Within Architecture Competitions' edited by Maria Theodorou and Antigoni Katsakou.

As part of the Leeds Architecture Exhibition Series, this is the northern UK book launch of RIBA Publishing’s ‘The Competition Grid: Experimenting with and Within Architecture Competitions’. Edited by Maria Theodorou and Antigoni Katsakou, the book explores discussions from the Sixth International Conference on Competitions (ICC2016), held at Leeds Beckett University in October 2016, focusing on scrutinising and mapping the concept of experimentation within architecture competitions.

Co-editor Maria Theodorou and contributors Jonathan Wimpenny, Simon Warren and Craig Stott will form a panel discussing key aspects and differing viewpoints from the book, before opening up the debate to audience members.

Book your place now for a great opportunity to participate in the much needed conversation around the use of competitions in architecture.

Copies of the ‘The Competition Grid: Experimenting with and Within Architecture Competitions’ are available to purchase here.
