- Employers on Campus
We host a series of careers and information fairs and events throughout the year, specifically for our students and graduates to network and meet face to face with valuable industry contacts.
With school specific events, employer presentations and our main annual Careers Fair, we have a wide range of employers and organisations visiting our campuses to offer placements, internships and graduate opportunities along with up to date industry information and advice to our students and graduates.
Annual Careers Fair
Our Annual Careers Fair offers a diverse range of opportunities for all types of career aspirations.
Held at our Headingley Campus each October, our students and graduates get to meet with national and global employers such as M&S, IBM, PWC and Teach First as well as a range of small and medium sized organisations from the region and beyond.
There are plenty of opportunities on offer for those seeking a fulfilling career in the third sector, supporting valuable charitable and social enterprise causes, as well as key roles working and volunteering abroad.
We’ve also got help and guidance about freelancing, portfolio careers or starting your own business from successful entrepreneurs, start-up businesses and our own Enterprise & Innovation Academy.
Sector Specific Events
We run a number of bespoke and sector specific fairs, information sessions and networking opportunities throughout the academic year to support students who are seeking information and opportunities in a particular industry or career area, such as teaching, health, built environment and creative and digital sectors.
Our ‘Spotlight On‘ workshops series focuses on a particular sector such as retail, hospitality or finance and connects employers with our students in an informal setting to discuss sector experiences and challenges, and offer advice on how to successfully start a career.
