What to support
However you choose to support Leeds Beckett University, your gift will go directly to help students have the best experience while studying here, enabling them to make the most of a Leeds Beckett education without financial struggles, and allow them to embrace all of the opportunities available to them here.
That is why the Leeds Beckett Alumni Fund exists. As a university we remain committed to ensuring that our students have a rewarding experience, further their potential and enabling them to leave with a great education and progress into a great career.
In order to help our students, regardless of their financial background or challenges, your gift to the Leeds Beckett Alumni Fund today could help to:
• Help talented and deserving students through hardship scholarships, helping students who would otherwise struggle to progress through their university career.
• Support student societies and sports clubs, helping students to engage in university life and have a great student experience.
• Reward hardworking students who excel in their studies with prizes at graduation.
• Assist students to take part in curricular and extra-curricular activities that they would otherwise be unable to.
Bright Futures Scholarships
Money is quite a restricting factor - I worked hard and manage to save up but that money will run out soon. This scholarship will help me so much and help to make my university experience that much better than it would've been before. It will bring new experience and a whole other side of those extra-curricular activitiesKit Hollingworth, BSc (Hons) Speech & Language Therapy student and Bright Futures Scholar
By making a gift to the Bright Futures Scholarships today, you will be investing in students who are starting out on their journey at Leeds Beckett, but who find themselves considering leaving university due to the financial pressures. You will help a student to continue their studies, having the same great experiences you did and giving them the best possible start to their career.
This scholarship supports students from families with a low household income where they are the first in their family to attend university, but have still excelled in their entry qualifications, with scholarship awards of £1,500 each, as an award of £500 in each of the three years of their degree.
